I told Joan, "Can you make this species look like it was inspired by a balloon animal?"  Anyway, I'm a fan of the flurgle, as I think you will likely be by the end of this chapter. It will actually show up.  I didn't name it the MacGuffin Bird, after all.

By the way, this may go nowhere, but Joan and I may have accidentally stumbled into an idea that I'm tentatively calling 'PhD Unknown: The Deadliest Scoop: The Card Game'.  Planning on having some students playtest this with me this semester . . .
